Hey
I’m Lindy—a lifelong Nashvillian, photographer, writer, service worker, student, and organizer. This blog is about what it means to survive and resist as a working-class person in a city and country ruled by billionaires. From local battles over housing and healthcare to national legislation that guts the social safety net, I want to document the daily grind—and the daily fight.
Nashville isn’t just country stars and rooftop bars. It’s people juggling two jobs while dodging rent hikes, raising kids under broken systems, and still showing up for each other when disasters hit. I’ve lived through the 2010 flood, the 2020 tornado, and the rise of luxury high-rises that pushed my neighbors out. I want this blog to be a space where we name what’s happening, share stories, and remind each other that we’re not crazy—and we’re not alone.
I don’t claim to be an expert. I’m just someone who’s lived it and isn’t afraid to say: we deserve better, and we’ve got to fight for it.
